It all started with a cookbook.
Well, actually. It all started at work. And then a happy hour for work. And then the cookbook. But more or less, it started with a cookbook.
Guillaume was new to work, and he instantly caught Jennifer's eye. So when a group of co-workers was heading out for a drink and Guillaume invited her along, she happily agreed. That night they found themselves talking, as one by one their coworkers started to leave. Until finally, they looked up and found it was just the two of them left. Not wanting his time with her to end, Guillaume thought quickly and invited Jennifer over to his place the next night to make a recipe out of his new cookbook. And again, she happily agreed.
Jennifer had assumed that Guillaume must have been some sort of master chef to suggest cooking as their first date. But when she got there she realized that not only was this his new cookbook, it was his first one as well. And this would be the very first thing he would be making out of it. Crepes. To remind him of home. And again, over wine and cheese, the two found themselves talking. Until they looked up, and not a crepe had been made. So again being quick on his feet, Guillaume said that meant she would just have to come back the next night so that they could try again. And the rest as they say, is history.
And just like those crepes that they did eventually make, their story is sweetness wrapped up in the perfect ending. And it all started with a cookbook.
Meet: Jennifer & Guillaume
Jennifer & Guillaume will be getting married this weekend at the Hillstead Museum and we can't WAIT to celebrate with them! But before the big day, we met up with these guys in Mystic, CT to shoot their engagement shoot. We absolutely LOVE when our couples opt to do an engagement shoot because it gives us a chance to get to know them, their story and to get them comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding. It makes a huge difference. Like we always tell our couples, the last thing you want is for the first time we're pointing a camera at you to be on the wedding day! We had the best time getting to know J&G over a bottle of wine and some pumpkin risotto. We sat out together with them for a dinner under the stars and welcomed in Fall. And now we can't wait for the big day because it really feels like we'll be going to the wedding of friends. Here are some of our favorites from their engagement shoot & we can't wait to share their wedding with you soon. Enjoy!
