Yesterday was a long, challenging, road-weary sort of day.
There are more than a few difficulties that present themselves, when you're trying to run a business hopping in and out of airports. The wifi doesn't work or the upload is too slow. Or you find yourself trying to send that one last super important email while your zone is being called for the very.last, time. And your husband is about to just go ahead and leave you in Phoenix, Arizona forever. Where you will no doubt spend the rest of your days tending to a cactus farm.
It's an adventure to say the least.
And sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do to get things done. Like turning said husband into a human workstation....or y'know, taking over the Air Canada desk. And causing a minor international incident in the process.
But last night as our plane was coming in over Boston, we got to see fireworks going off all over the city when we landed. It was beautiful. It was awe-inspiring. And...it was humbling. Because it reminded me that when my greatest problem is just figuring out which dream I'm going to chase next, then it's a pretty amazing thing to be Free. And that freedom only comes because of someone else's sacrifice.
So today on this 4th of July I'm going to allow myself to dream as big as I possibly can. And I'm going to stop and give thanks for the people who make that possible. And I hope that you will all do the same.
Happy 4th y'all!
