I gulped down another swig of non fat latte like a guppy gasping for water over air. For the record, caffeine might not the best idea for a case of already jittery nerves. But still I gripped that cardboard encrusted cup like it was my one last life line. My one chance to breathe.
I took my seat beside them and attempted my best nonchalant. I hair flipped and bantered wittily, and yes I may have even crossed and re-crossed legs. But in my head, all I could hear was one, ongoing high-pitched squeal. It went a little something like this.... eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. And my cheeks felt like they were going to explode from smiling so big.
Because I.....well, I was living the dream.
I can't tell you how many times I've thought about sitting down with any one of these ladies. To just bask in their business & branding brilliance, to absorb even one percent of their awesomeness via osmosis. And here I was surrounded by all of them. Abundant awesomeness in the air.
I listened as each of them talked about creating their own luxury brand, competing against themselves and no one else, and stepping up when everyone else might be stepping down. I heard them talk about trimming the fat, learning from your mistakes, and realizing that if you're really out on a limb you're bound to fail at some point. But that failure might be the best thing that ever happened to you. Because it pushes you forward.
And I'm not going to lie, in that moment I kind of felt like bursting out of the room and running around the block with the Rocky theme music blaring in the background.
But instead, I just scooted my chair a little closer to them and prayed to the science gods that osmosis really does work like that.
Abby,Beth, Sarah, Anna & Jennie....there is no way I can ever thank you enough. For giving so generously. For blazing the trail. And for giving us all something to aspire to.

So we've been keeping this under wraps until now, but since Walk Through 2.0 is just two short hours away I think we can go ahead and spill the beans. Today we'll have something extra awesome in store for our attendees, as we'll have a whole array of Profoto D1 air heads and modifiers (octobanks, soft boxes and beauty dishes) on hand for them to play with courtesy of the incredible folks at Adorama!! Who continue to rock our world!
Umm yea...I'm pretty sure I know what's going to be on my Christmas list!!

It's Julia checking in on this gorgeous Tuesday afternoon! We're super busy gearing up for Walk Through 2.0 tomorrow but I wanted to pop on quickly and give you a little update on Walk Through Toronto!!
