We are SO excited to share this wedding with you guys today!!
Ashley & Kyle got married at the absolutely BEAUTIFUL Tidewater Inn on the Eastern Shore this past weekend. And they had SUCH a gorgeous day! From their stunning pink, peach & gold details (I mean how amazing is that ruffled linen for their escort cards?!), to girls in long pink dresses and guys in all black tie (our favorite!), to the charming town of Easton and how gorgeous the inn is itself, to one of the most beautiful (inside AND out) couples we have ever had the honor to photograph....this whole wedding was just incredible!
Ashley & Kyle are two of the sweetest people you could ever meet, and as soon as we met both of their families we knew why....the whole crew was just amazing! And that includes one of the kindest (and most cooperative!) bridal parties we've ever met too. The weather was absolutely perfect that day and every single person who was there just loved this couple SO much!
Add to that, that we got to work with one of the nicest, most cool under pressure, top of her game coordinators ever in Melanie at The Tidewater Inn and the incredibly talented Monteray Farms for some of the prettiest flowers we've ever seen...and it just made for the perfect day!
Ashley & Kyle, there will never be enough words to tell you how much we adore the both of you & how grateful we are to have been your photographers and now friends! We love you guys! The world needs more people like you!
We walked into the bridal suite and we were instantly greeted with hugs & "Justin & Mary are here!!!" That's when we knew it was going to be an amazing day!
This past Saturday we had the absolute honor of shooting our second Mulrane girl's wedding!! We shot Erin's sister, Kristin's wedding when she married an amazing man in Bill a few years ago. And this weekend we got to watch Erin do the same thing with an absolutely amazing man in Christian. AND Kristin & Bill's absolutely adorable little girl Madeline was the flower girl (who you guys might remember as baby Carlos at our Halloween party!) So it was pretty much a Mulrane reunion love fest for all of us! :)
There are days that a photographer could order up as their perfect scenario for shooting a wedding....and this day was IT! During the first look (which we absolutely LOVE that Erin & Chris opted to do! It was such a stress free day because of it!) we had soft gray clouds, a cool breeze, and gorgeous light! That doesn't always happen in mid-July so we were over the moon about it! And then when we went back out for their evening portraits (have I mentioned how much I LOVE these guys....they gave us so much time to shoot & all of these beautiful portraits are the result of it!) the clouds broke away and golden light poured in across the water. It was perfect!
Erin & Chris got married at the Wilton Library, so I just LOVED how they carried that theme through all of their details from the card catalogue program holder to the book centerpieces (which Erin hand painted herself!) to the book mark place cards to the dictionary guest book. SO awesome! Even their cake had book rosettes on it! I just love when a couple takes their day and makes it so personal & their own!
But maybe my favorite part of the day would have to be when Chris said his vows to Erin. We have been shooting weddings for a long time now (8 years for me, 11 years for Justin) and these were hands down some of my favorite vows EVER. They were heartfelt, poetic, honest, and in that moment there wasn't a doubt in my mind that Chris is going to love Erin forever. And I love my Mulrane girls....so this made my heart very very happy indeed.
If that was my favorite part, then coming in at a very very close second would have to be when Kristin stood to give her Maid of Honor speech....and ended up rapping it to Eminem's 8 Mile song instead! AMAZING!
I told you I love these girls! AND the incredible men that have stolen both of their hearts!
To Erin & Chris (and the whole Mulrane & Qualey crew!) thank you for letting us feel like the luckiest photographers ever to get to be a part of your lives. And thank you for making us feel like just part of the family. We love you all! Love like this always.
Baylor & Larry got married on an absolutely perfect Maine day right by the water. Those are like three of my absolute favorite things all rolled in to one sentence! We are SO lucky in that we're getting to shoot a TON in Maine this year (four times & countIng!) And I have to say that we don't mind that one bit! We absolutely LOVE going up there, shooting by the water, everyone dressed in the best preppy outfits & hey, if we get to eat some lobster in the process then that's definitely a bonus! :)
Their day was warm & breezy and filled with sea salt air. The details were absolutely stunning (and pink!), including some of the prettiest flowers we've ever seen! And we got to work with one of our all time favorite planners, Miss Sarah Goodwin of Daisies & Pearls!! So yea, it was amazing!
The day started out just relaxing in the bridal suite with Baylor, her mom, and one of the cutest little flower girls ever, Baylor & Larry's daughter Freya. We had plenty of time to shoot all of those gorgeous bridal details including Baylor's Tiffany jewelry and amazing birdcage veil, before heading off for a beautiful ceremony at the Camden Ampitheater (this stunning historic house with the most amazing stone steps).
Afterwards we grabbed some portraits by the harbor & then headed back to the Samoset Resort to get the party started! It was such a fun night, complete with good food, great friends, and tons of laughter & happy tears. At the end, Maine gave us the most incredible light & sunset, so we headed down to the Rockport Jetty to grab a few last portraits before the night ended.
Baylor & Larry, we can't thank you enough for having us there with you on your day! And Sarah, we can't thank you enough for recommending us and putting the day together flawlessly! If we could work with you every day we would! We love all of you guys!
Lisa & TJ's wedding was the perfect kind of day! They had the best warm weather, with a soft breeze in off the water. They had over 300 friends & family from all over the world there to celebrate with them. And....they were in love. Happy, over the moon, love with your whole heart, hug like you don't want to let go...in love.
These guys put together the prettiest navy, gold & pink day, complete with gorgeous bouquets, super cute bridesmaids dresses, and the sweetest details. As soon as we got to Lisa's mom's house (the same place where we had photographed her sister & past J&M bride, Anna's getting ready six years ago) and saw her stunning dress & those amazing grey suede shoes, we knew it was going to be a good day! But maybe what really stole the show was the incredible line up of some of the cutest kids we have ever seen at a wedding. Ever! Especially Anna & Dan's new little girl, Olivia!
I can't tell you what an incredible honor it is to have now shot two of the Marini sisters' weddings! We just love this whole family! And nothing makes my heart happier than seeing just how happy TJ makes Lisa. She said nearly six years ago that we would be her photographers, and not only are we grateful that it came true. We are so SO grateful that what we got to photograph was two people who are perfect together & love with their whole hearts. Lisa & TJ, we LOVE you guys! Thank you for inviting us in & making us part of the most amazing day!
Liz & Tamer and ten of their closest friends & family gathered together this past Thursday for an incredible elopement style wedding in New York City. Liz and her mom got ready with just the two of them together in her Excelsior Hotel suite, as Tamer and his brother were just a few floors away doing the same thing. Liz's mom helped her with her pearl necklace and adjusted her veil. And then the two of them hopped in a limo bound for the absolutely stunning Riverside Church, but not before saying one more prayer together in the car.
When Liz walked down the aisle on her mom's arm, Tamer stood at the front absolutely beaming. Of course he did, he was looking at the love of his life. The two of them vowed their vows and promised their promises, and when they came back down the aisle... the happy tears flowed without stopping.
Outside the church, a classic NYC checker cab was waiting. And after a few portraits with it, we were off to Central Park where their own personal violinist was waiting to play their first dance in the Bethesda Terrace. It was amazing! Then we took our time taking portraits all around the best parts of the Park: the Bethesda Fountain, the Bow Bridge, and we finished up with a gondola ride at the Boathouse. It was the perfect New York day!
Liz & Tamer we just can't thank you enough for loving like you do. For loving each other and being just so happy together. And for loving everyone around with that same kind of warmth and welcoming. This was our first time meeting in person, but we felt like we had known you for years. You are people that we now consider friends. Thank you for sharing real life with us. And the start of a lifetime of amazing adventures. Thank you for trusting us completely and giving us the time we needed to create art. Thank you for never once rushing and for always being in the moment. And for making the pictures a priority. We were able to get some of our most favorite pictures EVER because of that...and we can't thank you enough. We will remember our day together in NYC forever. And my hope is that you love always just like you did that day: fully, completely, with your whole heart, and with the kind of love they should make movies about. Preferably, set in Central Park! :)
