Today we are kicking the week off with a bang, with Lori & Dan's absolutely gorgeous Candlewood Inn wedding!!
These two got married on the perfect Fall day, with just a little bit of a crisp in the air and a slight breeze to come in at all the right times and toss Lori's gorgeous veil around in the prettiest of ways. Lori & Dan are two of the kindest, most welcoming, gracious couples we have ever had the honor of documenting. They make everyone around them feel at ease and just like part of the family. And they are just SO good together! They share a love that comes easy and a quiet calm just from being around one another. They laugh together and hold on to each other like they don't ever want to let go.
Watching the two of them promise forever, everyone in the room knew that it was true. And I think all of us in one collective moment, poured out our best hopes onto them that these two would love like this. Always. Because a love like theirs is the kind that every couple should hope for. So sit back, relax & enjoy as we introduce you to the new Mr & Mrs.
I am Georgia bound for the Pursuit 31 Conference, but do I have something to kick your week off right: Brooke & Shaun's Pine Orchard Yacht Club wedding!!
From Brooke's hand-stitched wedding dress made with love by her Aunt to the bridesmaids' prayers over her to the super emotional, personal & heartfelt vows....this was a wedding from the heart. It was a wedding filled with God, family, love, laughter and just genuine joy. When you add to that a New Orleans style second line, a giant tree to get married under, and a pair of gold sparkly shoes...we were pretty much in heaven! :)
Brooke & her mom planned pretty much everything for the day, and it was so amazing to see it all come together so perfectly. But most of all for us, it was just such an honor to watch two best friends promise forever together. S&B, we are so thankful for you guys. Thankful for your love and thankful for your friendship. Thank you so SO much for letting us share your day with you!
Today we have for you the STUN-NING Paradise Hills Vineyard wedding of Margaret & Marcelo. This was actually the very first wedding to be held at Paradise Hills & it's only fitting being that this is actually Margaret's family's vineyard and she & Marcelo help run it full time. These two work side by side on a daily basis building a business and a life together, so it only seemed fitting that they walk- hands intertwined- down the same vines they've helped grow. And that when it came time to toast that night, the glasses that were raised would be filled with the wine that they helped make.
It was an absolutely beautiful day start to finish. Full of the things that matter. Laughter. Hugs. Friends who love you like family. And family you are also lucky enough to call friends. The sun itself was a welcome guest that day, and shone its gift of golden light on every face in attendance. And when the party got started, you would swear that even the grapes themselves were bumping to the music! :)
To Margaret & Marcelo and all of your incredible, incredible family: we cannot thank you enough for the gift of getting to be there with you on this day. Thank you for checking in on us to make sure we were ok. That we had been fed. That we had everything we needed. Not everyone is like that, and it meant more than you will ever know! You can fully expect to be seeing us as regulars at Paradise Hills now. Where we will continue to lift a glass to loving out loud.
Good morning! And welcome back for Meg & J Part II !!
The second day was the traditional Hindu ceremony, and it was all things color, light, heart and high energy! The weather forecast that day had called for thunderstorms ALL day. And right when the ceremony was supposed to be, it was predicting the chance to be at a high of 70 or 80%. But those odds didn't have anything on Meg & J, because the rain never came. It held off all day...as if even the weather itself knew, nothing could ruin this day.
Meg & J have so much love between them that just one day wouldn't hold it all.
And so this past weekend, Justin & I headed out to Rhode Island to celebrate with them over the course of two days by the water! Which was still barely enough to hold all the love, laughter, hugs held tightly, hearts full of gratitude and happy dances at the altar that these two had as they promised forever. Twice. :)
Day 1 was a daytime ceremony & reception at J's parents' home overlooking a boat-dotted bay. The girls (which are seriously, some of my favorite bridesmaids EVER!) got ready upstairs & the boys were down in the boathouse. And when it came time to say their vows, they did it standing on the foundation of the original house that was on the property. And the foundation of two sets of parents who have taught them how to love over the long haul, show kindness, be grateful, and build a life together from the ground up.
Meg & J, there are just no words for how much we adore the both of you! Thank you SO much for bringing us in as not just your photographers, but your friends....and then treating us like we were part of the family. You are two of the kindest hearts I've ever met, and the unabashed joy you two have from just being around each other infects everyone around you. I guess it's a good things you guys are both doctors! (See what I did there? :)
