This post is coming a little later in the day because I just couldn't find a way to narrow down my favorites....Tracy & Andy's day was that amazing! These guys were married last weekend at the GORGEOUS Waveny House Mansion in New Canaan, styled to perfection by the one and only (and amazing!) Stacie Shea of Stacie Shea Events. We had a beautiful (if somewhat freeeeezing) Connecticut day, and Tracy & Andy put together a day that was full of black tie elegance and heart on your sleeve emotion. It was incredible to witness. And we feel so so lucky to have been one small part of their day! T&A, we love you guys! And we hope you are raising a glass right now in Hawaii with those fruity drinks you promised you'd have for us! :)
SO much love!

The dress was white and lace, and it hung in her sister's closet. From the moment that she saw it, she knew that it was everything that she wanted and needed. And nothing more. She didn't need ruffles and layers. Sequins and beading just weren't for her. She had always said it was because she was a simple girl. But everyone around her already knew....it was because hers was the kind of beauty that was its own adornment. The kind of grace that never goes out of style. And right now, the only thing missing was him.
The day was white and gray, and it hung in the air as if it too had been invited for the occasion. From the moment that he saw her, he knew that she was everything that he wanted and needed. And so much more. She wasn't the kind to be the center of attention. Fanfare and fuss just weren't for her. He had always heard her say it was because she was a simple girl. But right then, with everyone around them, he already knew...it was because she was the kind of girl who could change your whole world quietly without you even noticing. The kind of love that takes over when you aren't even aware. Until you finally realize....
The only thing ever missing was her.
Married: Krissy & Stephen
Krissy & Stephen were married on the perfect gray New York November day that is the stuff black & white dreams are made of. They were surrounded by 27 of their closest friends and family, as they stood in front of the City Hall Park fountain and promised a lifetime of soft spoken memories together. And a love that doesn't need to be fancy to be forever. K&S I can't tell you how much we loved being there with you as you start this life together. What you trusted us with is an honor. And what you stand for is an inspiration. My hope is that you will love like this always....quietly and fearlessly and without question.
There are a lot of different ways to tie a bow. And loop over loop, sash against satin....they tried them all. One by one and begin again. Because on this day, of all days, it needed to be perfect. She stood in a room with three generations of women in her life, and together somewhere across the years, they found the perfect fit. A knot that would not come undone. Because at the end of the day they realized what made all the difference... it was the tie that binds.
There are a lot of different ways to tie a tie. And criss over cross, silk against striping....he tried them all. Deep breath in and begin again. Because on this day, of all days, it needed to be perfect. He stood in a room with her father, and promised him that somehow across the years he would always try to be her perfect fit. A knot that would not come undone. Because at the end of the day, he had realized that she was what made all the difference. And when it came to love, he wanted him to know....
Theirs was a tie that binds.
Married: Michelle & Adam
Michelle & Adam were married on a Fall day with just a hint of chill in the air. They were surrounded cool breezes and warm hearts. And a ticker tape parade of falling leaves to mark the occasion. With blue hues and baby white pumpkins, they brought together their perfect day with the help of event designer Candice Milard. M&A, Justin & I can't thank you enough for having us there with you on such an incredible day. It was truly an honor that we don't take lightly. And we will never forget. My hope is that you will love like this always....Always beginning again. And always with a tie that binds.
When it came time to get ready, the part that took the longest was the buttons. One by one, loop by loop....it slowly came together. And when the last button was fastened and the veil was put in place, the only thing left was to go see him. Down a hallway, out a door. And across a threshold to her future. At the end of a tree lined walkway in the heart of October, he waited. And when she took that step forward into forever, he was the only thing she could see.
When it came time for the vows, the part that took the longest was figuring out a way to explain all that she'd meant to him. What their lives together had been. But scene by scene, loop by loop....it slowly came together. And when the last line was written and rings were put in place, the only thing left was to go see her. Down a hallway, in front of an archway. And across a threshold to their future. At the end of love lined aisle in the heart of October, he waited. And when she took that step forward into their forever....
She was the only thing he could see.
Married: Caryn & John
Caryn & John were married on the perfect Fall day, in the heart of October....in the heart of Vermont. Together they gathered everyone in the world that meant the most to them, and they promised a life together. To keep on loving and laughing and picking each other up....just like they'd always done. And when they said forever, there wasn't a person in the room who doubted it. C&J it was an honor we don't take lightly to be there with you, and now we have the privilege of sharing a wedding anniversary in common. Every year on our day, I already know 'm going to think of you two- of your day- and smile. My hope for you is that you love like this always. With your eyes fixed on the future together and a love that will carry you over any threshold.
SO much love,

She sat surrounded by shades of blue, in a room where her roots ran deep. Her mom and all of her closest friends in the world waited for the moment when they would first get to see her as a bride. The moment when this normal day would be forever changed into a wedding day. Their wedding day. But for now, she was just the girl who couldn't stop smiling. The girl he was waiting for. The girl who was about to change into her dress.
He stood surrounded by a sea of faces, in front of a tree with roots that ran deep. He took a quiet breath and bowed his head a little, as he waited for the moment when he would first get to see her as his bride. The moment when he would be forever changed into a husband. Her husband. But for now, he was just the boy who couldn't stop smiling. Because she was the girl he was waiting for.
The girl who had already changed everything.
Married: Jennifer & Guillaume
Jennifer & Guillaume were married on an absolutely gorgeous Fall day at The Hillstead Museum , when the colors were in full force. They said their vows in front of an old oak tree, with promises that ran just as deep. And together with all the people they love most in the world, they started a life off right....with love, laughter, and a lotta dancing. The day was pulled off to flawless perfection with no detail overlooked thanks to the tireless efforts of Lindsay Mastroianni & the whole team at Sixpence Events. And the whole night was filled with course after course of incredible, gourmet food thanks to the crew from Emily's. J&G, it was truly our privilege to be there to celebrate with you guys and both of your amazing families. Thank you so much for the honor of documenting your love. My hope is that you will love like this always....with roots that run as deep as the tree you were married in front of and with a love that changes everything.
So much love,
